| This will be our test to see if we can match the top sides, even though its round 2 & is sometimes the best time to play the top sides, i think they have hit the ground running.
Are you going? do you rate our chances? i am going to go with FC win by 4-10 points, i had a go on setofsix predictions & have gone ok this far.
Stop Walsh & get on top of there forwards & think our outside backs are better then theres.

| I see this one (and the Warrington game actually) as a bit of a free hit. We have two points on the board, and rounds 4 to 7 are very winnable, so both of these games we just need to go there, play our rugby, get stuck into them, and if we take even a point from the two games it's a bonus, if not it doesn't really matter.
I think we have the firepower to cause Saints more problems than Wire did, but I'll go Saints by 8.

Good perspective on it. Seeing as though they put the cleaners well and truly through Warrington away, fair to say Saints will be red hot favourites at home. Hope we give it a real go and just see what happens.

| Very difficult as i feel saints will win the SL this year. As has been said the next two games are a little less pressure now with 2 points from the first home game. I'd like to see our defence improve over this period and we must be competitive in both games. Any league points will be a welcome bonus.

| I can't wait for this one , first visit to langtree .
Leave from the kc at 4 and tbh Friday can't come quick enough !!
Tighten up the defence to how Lee had it last season and I think we have got the attack to hurt teams this season , really don't want to jinx it but I think we could have a gem in Rankin (fingers crossed)

| I'm just hoping we can put in a decent performance and not get steamrollered, same next week at wire (to a less extent as I don't think they're as good). Only slight worry is that we picked up 3 points in the corresponding games last season so could be down on where we picked points up in 2013

| Massive improvement in defence required to get anywhere near Saints I'm afraid.

Lineham needs to switch on, but I wouldn't say massive improvement needed. We conceded 16 points in almost 70 minutes of rugby against a good side who had the majority of possession, and one of the tries was from a kick. It was only when we put the cue on the rack near the end that we got sloppy. Hopefully we learned a lesson or two from the near miss.

As a saints fan I have to ask a question (because the Warrington fans said the same) - is it that you don't rate saints outside backs or do you feel it's a particularly strong area for you guys? (like Warrington said they did)
As for getting on top of our forwards did it look that easy? should be a good game!

I think the backs are well matched tbh. People probably see how young yours are and think that they still have a lot to prove, and tbh they do. But then so do ours.
I think we have the better wingers, you just about have the better centres and Lomax would have to edge the full back battle based on his extra experience, but Shaul has plenty to offer himself.

I do rate your backs I think turner is very good going forward, I was disappointed he left us, just that I believe our squad are very good in attack as proved against the catalan dragons were there outside backs were out played considering ball possesion,we just need to address our defence which we know they will be working on this week, we have good forwards to mTch your own, which I see ours as more experienced, but I always back our lads in any game that's why I said FC to win, but I've tipped saints to win the league, as you weren't far away last season just needed that 7 shirt filling which is done now. Good luck. Just not against us. Lol.

If you always back us to win any game, and think we will beat the best team in the league away from home, why didn't you just back Hull to win the league?
