| Good to hear that Jordan Rankin is on his way and will train with the rest of the squad on Monday.
Fingers crossed our half back woes are over and he can forge a good partnership with Miller.

| Why cannot both clubs develop a 6 and 7 from the local amateur leagues which is supposed to be the strongest in the country , what is going wrong ?

| Self perpetuating myth about Hull being a strong development ground for RL.
The Wigan area has always produced far more than Hull.

Something being stronger than another thing, doesn't necessarily make said thing 'weak'.

There's a lack of local halves at every club. Very few have a local in there halves.

| Well, we have the best in the country at academy level, let's see if we can finally develop one.

| Glad Rankin's finally arrived. I'm not his biggest fan, and don't particularly see him as a halfback. But the change in competition might suit him and hopefully we'll see a consistent partnership at 6 & 7, 20+ games together is a must for us to do anything this year. Green & Smith proved you don't have to be world beaters last year, just well drilled and efficient at the simple things.
Although I do think Miller could be the best 7 in the comp.

Beat me to it....Eddie was having a pop at us one game on sky and Barry Mac stuck up for us and said we have one of the best prospects in the league and will be a star.

Aye I remember that game, Eddie doesn't have a clue about any team outside of the 'top 4'. Players like Hampshire, Currie, Makinson, Jones, Swift all get mentions. We're lucky if Lineham and Crooks get a mention. But to be fair Stevo has definitely took a liking to Shaul.
