| Credit to the club for their progression this season, should feel pretty pleased about establishing 3 homegrown first-teamers with 20something squad numbers in the back 5. Add on the 4 Under 16s being picked for England, good progress.

| Getting there, last night we had 7 players who cam through our academy , 14 English players.
Probably the youngster set of props in SL against maybe the most experienced.
3 of the most exciting young backs in SL Iin our squad.
Expect Jansin Turget to be the next to come through, he has just been called up to the England academy squad.
Just need a halfback, best chance in years with a great crop of young halfbacks at the club.

All three look to have big futures in the game, real talents.
They are all natural try scorers too and have excellent tries per match ratios despite our much maligned offence - Shaul 9 tries in 9 games, Crooks 27 in 38 and Lineham 21 in 30.

| How many tries have we scored in all comps this season? They scored 57 between them i reckon that'll be a high% on their own, a good off season for the half backs to actually gel together and hopefully next season will see an improved attack to match what has been one of the tightest defences in the league, hopefully with a slightly better attack it'll also take the pressure of the defence so much too!

| Lineham (21) and Crooks (20) well and truly established.
Arundel (22) started playing well on his return, defending well and scoring tries.
Shaul has obvious talent (20), as does Miller (21).
Green (23) has plenty of gametime already and Bowden (21) is pushing into the side.
Add to that Westerman (23), Pitts (23), Watts (23) and Houghton (24) who are already young, established first team players.
They need direction, but certainly exciting times.

| Add some experience to that crop and we should go well. That's my only concern with Ogre going and Tickle we're a bit thin on the ground here. Let's hope the new signings have some guidance for these lads to take the load off Ellis.

Added to which Lineham & Crooks made the Dream Team in their breakthrough seasons, and Shaul has been fantastic since he grabbed his opportunity and it does allow for some optimism for next season, regardless of how well the rest of the recruitment goes, the future is looking promising, although we deffinately need a great big hairy @rsed prop
