Looking at the league tables since we went to a 14 team league the side finishing 4th has ended up with 32, 35, 35 and 36 points. This year with Wigan running away with it and the bottom sides capable of a few upsets I reckon 34 points might be enough. If we dont slip up in any of the games we should be winning (all the teams below us except Saints) we would be on 30 points. That means we have to win 2 or possibly 3 of the following:

Leeds (h)
Catalans (a)
Hudds (h)
Wigan (a)
Saints (h)

Not really looking beyond our next game at the moment, I think we will beat Rovers and have a good chance in the subsequent games against Leeds & Catalan, but a lot depends on any injuries, suspensions.

If we beat Rovers this weekend then I can see us beating Leeds. Our record away to Catalans isn't the greatest so if we're due a win there I'd rather it was in the Challenge Cup game. Huddersfield will be a tough game but if we keep this form up then I think we'll win that one. Not expecting anything from the Wigan game but I said the same about the Warry game. I think we can beat Saints.

Notr to be a killjoy but when have we ever beaten all the teams we should be beating.

To coin a worn out saying I think its better just to take each game as it comes and see where we end up.

I'm as guilty as the next man for getting wrapped up in all the hype. So like you I'm looking at one game at a time. If we do that keep turning up and perfoming as we can the table will take care of it's self.

I don't fear anybody coming to the KC, we are capable of beating all those listed above at home. I am more worried of the occasional banana skin slip ups away from home against teams we should be beating......

The GF can be won from 5th anyway icon_wink.gif

I used to look at the fixtures at the start of a season and mark down what I think we would win or lose depending on home, away who we played the week before etc. I usually gave up after the first couple of months because I'd get it completely wrong. There are just too many variables, shocks and disappointments in sport to rely on it.

I would rather do exactly as the players and enjoy a good win and then concentrate on the next opponents. Doesn't do my dream team any good though icon_smile.gif

I'd forget the 4 next week if we have a brainfart and get turned over by Wakey.
In fact the 8 won't be guaranteed with trips to our neighbours and Odsal to come.

We need a good solid win at home a week tomorrow.

*Widnes currently beating Bulls which would be excellent for us.

Looking like it could be 7th or 8th if we don't improve significantly. 5th at best if we do

4th is still technically up for grabs as Leeds and Catalan have again dropped points...but while on paper the majority of our games are against sides lower in the table and ones we should be favourites in, it seems to be the games against sides lower than us in the table that we struggle to get motivated for.

If we can get to a semi we can get to a final.
Will we get to a semi?
Well that's a different question icon_smile.gif
