before a ball was kicked this season i wondered where he fits in and if others would be higher up in Gentles pecking order. especially given that whiting has focused on a back row spot and we had stacks of blokes who would be considered first choice second rowers in almost any club, but things hardly ever pan out like you might think and injuries has pushed and pulled players in and out of a make shift squad.

all along whiting has just been.... well whiting. and more fool me for ever doubting if his value to the team and his coach was diminishing. what a pro. he makes rugby league look easy. turning his hand to ever facet of the game.

He's having another excellent season, but we should definitely get rid before next year.

It's hard to see him getting a game next year. He's not good enough to be first choice in any position and will only play if we're absolutely desperate.

Good enough to be in th 17 each week...we will be loseing Tickle and Galea so he will be needed.
