| Has to be mentioned due to the obvious implications of Promotion. Seems to me Allam will go all out to buy the KC from the Council ( who REALLY need the money ) and then where do we go ?
Imagine Allam offering £60 million cash in the Daily Mail saying that the Council can save 150 jobs a year with the interest off the £60 million cash receipt. Allam would then bleat about how many jobs would be created in the construction of his Sports Village etc etc
All great things BUT what about Hull FC ?
Could we agree a sale of the KC and the obvious benefits , but only on the same terms of tenancy that we are on now ?
This weekend's game v Cardiff has massive implications. IF City misss out then what a shame and also next season they have to 'salary cap' and may not get close. This and the Siemens decision are 2 massive factors for Hull

| I think there a few different scenarios that could play out; obviously the Cardiff game is not the be all and end all should City lose as they still get a chance in the play-offs.
If City go up, the Allams become considerably richer. Is it worth £130m over 3 years or something? There are three scenarios:
1) The status quo, stadium-wise with a 23k(?) capacity for City. Is this likely to be enough in the current economic environment? Possibly.
2) The Allams have another go at the development scenario, despite having completely rejected the possibility of re-entering dialogue with the council on the issue. I think we can discount the "Sporting Village Gift" package after the initial reports we clarified as including a supermarket and shops, so we're then into whether the council would lift covenants on the fairground, West Park, the library etc to accommodate Morrisons, Carphone Warehouse etc, losing the car park and relocating Hull Fair. Is there are price the Council would accept to trade these in? The long term provisioning the Council need to put in place for this would be difficult IMO - what happens in a scenario that the Allams tire of the club and City get relegated, is the legacy of an oversized KC and the loss of community facilities worth the amount that will no doubt be lost in the mire? For us, do we retain our place? I would guess we have a legally binding contract to do so, but could we afford the increased share of costs for a bigger facility? Don't know.
3) The Allams threaten to move out to Melton. From what I hear, planning is unlikely to be granted on this, and it has to be a long term scenario to get consent and build. Obviously that leaves us as sole tenants, not a viable prospect.
If City don't go up, it'll be either 1) above or another round of new charges for pictures etc.
So I think there are risks attached to both. My gut feeling is that City will get up and obviously in 2013 will start life in the current KC, which might benefit us a bit in terms of less pressure on the SMC's finances in the short term. After that, I've no idea.

| I've said all along that allam will get his hands on the KC at some point. it may take a change of power at the guildhall but it will happen and then mid term we're FUBAR'd. Was our original lease 25 years? What are we now? 1/2 way through almost

| They won't get promoted, they'll lose a couple of games early doors next year and they'll go back to 14,000 crowds. Allam won't be able to plough money in next year due to the financial restrictions, and the gap between Premiership & Championship will widen.
Now as for us, don't care, we've got a lease. Let the mad Egyptian have his little rants in the mail. He can't move us, and he knows it. So tough .

Allam will be long gone before the tenancy runs out.

| If they do go up, the owners will use the season as a way of getting their money back. Its highly likely that they will only be up for one season anyway.
If they decide to make a go of it and splash some cash, their debts will just increase.
I can see them looking to bail out in the next few years. They are business people and most of their "gifts" have involved them acquiring some land out of it.
They won't continue to incurr losses at hull city.

| If Hull City don't get promoted you will not need to worry about the Allams for too long because he will be on his way out. Last throw of the dice for City

if nobody locally knows enough about the legalities of the Reckitts land covenant to stand up to them then that is their issue, I know well enough about the KC to throw a massive Sport England spanner into any proposed sale.
Allem will never own the KC.

If City gain promotion I think he will get his way. He will not remove Hull FC from the KC but he will try and make life difficult. If city lose out he will probably throw in the towel.
