| Now Seymour has been released there's rumors floating about that we will soon have another half back in place. Do you think this is just speculation?
I was also wondering what the position is with regards to Daniel Holdsworth? Some people say he's still suffering severe headaches, some saying it's homesick and others saying he just doesn't like it in Hull.
One last question "if" we paid Seymour off which imho is the most likely case will this take a big chunk out of this season's salary cap?
Does it work like that?
Obviously technical details of the outcome have not been released to the public but as a fan of a club that has no half back pairing and both of our first choice halfbacks (one contract being terminated) and the other no where to be seen with no explanation, I'm kind of wondering if we are ever going to know the truth?
It's a shame about Seymour for both parties as he come over to Hull as a real prospect. I wish him the best of luck and health. I wish him a speed recovery.

| The Dentist's Diary had something interesting regarding Holdsworth, DJ himself saying that he wasn't going anywhere
with regards to his headaches and nothing coming from the club about updates, the fact that they said no long ago that he was out indefinitely I would guess was done so that the team could focus on planning without him until we know he can play. People are saying that there is more to it than that would be saying the same even if each week they kept saying "still suffering from headaches and won't play at weekend"
unless someone is an expert in concussion and knows a quick fix for it we'll have to wait
as for a new signing THIS season; who is available? not only that we shouldn't just rush in and buy someone for the sake of it. suspect we'll just go with what we've got which if thats the case would look to bring Cunningham in to help spell Houghton if Azza is going to play in the halves

And What top quality halfbacks do you think are just sat around waiting to be picked up half way through the season?

None is my view.
Who would want to let their prize assets go even if big money was offered half way through the season?
We cannot go overseas either as we would be ripped off and there's no guarantee of a visa.
Leaves another 2 options, either loan or wait until the union season finishes and draft someone in but imho what quality is out there?

Wouldn't say quality but if rumours are true then possibly Travis Burns. Sandy get's sacked and he could become free agent

| Sandy pulled a blinder getting those players in on those deals. Virtually guarantees him the season.

Why that reaction, if someone is available and good enough, I'd take a bloody ice hockey player who can kick and pass a ball!

| There can't be a team in top flight RL history that has gone 6 years without anything resembling a settled 1st choice 1/2 back pairing. Shocking recruitment by the club since 2007

| Jacob Miller negotiating his release within the next 2 weeks, not sure if thats going to be an immediate release or from effective from next season.
If you get him this year could make for a very good finish for you guys.
Hope he can handle the pressure better than your last few big name aussies !
Good call PAC !
