Looking at going this year but would rather only go for the day and drive home. Does anyone know, if there is somewhere to park securely and preferably free? Been told you can park at the stadium for a tenner which is an option

Try Riverpark Rd, which is off Briscoe Lane,which is off Alan Turing Way (Where the Etihad is) Only about a 10 min walk to the ground. I parked there last year .

We parked at the stadium last year I can't remember how much it was though. Left just as Rovers scored their last try (loyal supporters) but this meant we got straight out before the crowds so got an easy run back to the motorway. This means I am not sure how bad it was at full time.

We left about 30 mins after you Traffic was fine. With our game not being last on this year, it may change the car park exit strategy somewhat. I can't remember it being as much as a tenner, but it may have been. The Etihad is smack bang in the middle of scrotesville, so I'd rather pay the cash than find my car on bricks.

We parked at the Eastlands pub across the road from the ground, 5 minutes walk, only a fiver I think and a cracking battlecruiser to go in.

We parked up on Edge Lane, about 15 mins walk & just outside the restricted parking area. Easy access from the East as well. Not sure I'd recommend it though, even some of the old dears were walking around with staffies & we were told by a local not to stray too far in one direction unless one of us was armed!

Get on the Train from Hull to Manchester, then on the bus from Piccadilly to Etihad.

We got a taxi back to the hotel from the ground.
The foreign gentleman said the hotel or the road didnt exist on his sat nav.
I replied i hope it does i have left my clothes there.

Also parked in the stadium car park. Don't recall it being as much as a tenner. Easily away at FT and on the motorway in no time.

Can't be any worse than Greatfield?
For football games I've parked outside Princes Foods (which is actually miles away looking @ the map!)

Thanks to everyone for the replies, I would imagine that I'll be planning on parking at the stadium upto now.

I'd recommend the stadium car park too, no issue with traffic in or out as it's used to dealing with far greater numbers during football games.
