| if the so called cold snap continues to the weekend. With the prospect of heavy snow friday/saturday and freezing conditions overnight.
could sundays game be in doubt?
The Pitch should be fine, but if the approaches, roads and footpaths around the area are deemed in a dangerous condition could the game be called off.
Games have been called off in the pass for this reason.
or will the SMC get extra staff in to gritt all the footpaths around the stadium.

| If it is called off. Will we put a stronger team out than expected against York?

Thought we'd be taking the oportunity to rest a few for the Rovers match, let the Reserves 'smash' them and save ourselves for York!

If you remember we had a very heavy snow storm the night before we played our first home game against Warrington last season. People just came down in the morning and cleared the pathways towards the ground and surrounding area of all the snow. I would be very surprised if it was called off.

| The pitch will be fine. Inside the stadium, the primary issue to be resolved ill be the stairways down the stands - they need to be ice free. The surrounding area has to be safe enough for people to leave the stadium in line with the safety evacuation plan - the quesion is whether the clubs will go to the expense of ploughing any new snow from the stadium perimeter for a friendly.
Shouldn't be an issue - unless the weather prohibits the officials from getting to the game.

| We have a duty of care to the visiting fans from the east.
Need to make sure the roads are safe enough for there horse and carts and theres plenty of hay for them to feed on .

the horses, with six fingers a hand it only seems fair to play to the supporters strengths and give them something to peel!

| at the moment the forecasts vary but there could be 12 hours or so of snow from friday evening through to saturday. if we get that amount i would think the game could be off, if it causes a problem on the approaches to the stadium and may pose a h&s risk - i know because i've looked it up in the nanny state handbook
