| My opinion based on watching it last year.
Video quality was poor despite the promise of an improvement, given the SKY match footage used in several games they compressed it horrendously, so it was equally poor.
On a 22" Dell monitor it was blurry in full screen and only really watchable in a 7-10" window, I asked the team regarding their promise to improve the quality as per their words to me early in the season and they would not/failed to respond.
Won't be buying it this season when you can get better quality highlights for free of the games in any case.
David Doyle Davidson's commentary is dire and spoils it, sadly long past his best and doesn't describe the action anything like how it should be (as in we are interested in who is on the ball rather than another it's rough it's tough it's RL when he can't fathom what's going on...
Quite a few matches had him sniffling throughout the whole game
I actually couldn't be d to watch some of the matches because the quality was so dire.

| I wont be buying it this season either the video quality was poor and in parts kept sticking. When Airlie Night was on i either forgot or was at work and like knocker said i just couldn't be bothered to watch it in the end as the quality was poor.

Didn't have any of those problems after the first 2 weeks or so. Apart from Doyle's commentary that is. I just tune him out now.
I've renewed for next season and reckon it's cracking value for money.

From the FC Live siteCan I share my login to access the Hull FC LIVE website?
[iYou may use your login on all computers in your house and would advise logging out when you have finished on each device.
You can't however share with friends and people outside of your home. If you do login to watch video or a live stream and a friend with YOUR login uses it you'll be logged out automatically and this will be logged against your account.
Those in breach of this policy will automatically be registered with our security hosts which cover the Hull FC Live product. Following investigation, if this has been seen as an abuse of the service, that account will then be terminated.
No refunds will be available in this instance if an account has been abused or shared.[/i
Technically though, there is nothing to stop you doing it or using certain software to download it into a file you can keep. I doubt you'd be able to log in from two computers at the same time though, and I personally wouldn't do anything that would deprive the club of revenue or make them consider withdrawing the service due to lack of income.

Agree with most of your comments, the quality is poor considering the improvements in streaming technology in recent years (BBC iPlayer shows what can be done). It would save them a lot of messing around if they gave you a license to own one copy of the game that you cannot share (legally) and let you download a high quality version of the game that you can watch once it's downloaded.
My biggest annoyance with the service was DDD's commentary. I hate to slate the guy, but it drives me up the wall. He doesn't think the current set of referees are up to the job - how do i know? - because he told me over a hundred times this season. He thinks that opposition players not getting back the full ten is killing the game - how do i know? - because he told me over a hundred times this season. I could rant for hours, but i'd only end up sounding like him. I think there are fans at the club who would do it for free and make a better job of it. My solution was to record humberside and then play that back with winamp whilst watching the game via VLC media player but it was a major PITA, and i often forgot to record humberside.
Airlie night live would be a lot better if they recorded an hour of it and edited it down to half an hour.
I'll be buying it again because I can't get to games any more and watching at any quality is better than listening to radio.

Nope, I started watching the FC highlights on SLTV, the thing that narked me was a clear failure of communication back to me back in May when I asked the club through the official email address what was happening and had they actually viewed the matches and the interviews.
A zero response after the promise of making things better just smacked of we can't be d now we have your money.
Additionally it seems someone was having a laugh with several deliberately inserted background noises in the Airlie night broadcasts and you could barely make out what was said at times not withstanding the dire quality of footage.
So apart from that, no not great

| I had Hull FC Tv last year and for the price I thought it was OK. I often watch games on a 42inch TV and its ok, a bit blurry when zoomed out but watchable. I suppose they have to encode it for streaming but the non sky games are about 1.2 gig which should give better picture quality but doesn't. Agree with Sky games, they are about 1.8gig but someone worse in quality.
They resolved some of the issues I asked for like an onscreen scoreboard and commentary although I agree about DDD, he is an embarrassment, slagging refs off all the time. I also asked for replays, I suppose this would require a lot more editing effort though but its a shame.
I will be getting it again this year still though, hopefully there will be more improvements.
