| I have just seen on twitter that Radio Humberside did an interview with City's owner at lunchtime. He does not see them having a future at the KC Stadium if they make the dizzy heights again. I missed it did any-one else hear it ????

| I didn't hear it but there are a fair few comments on Twitter already. Sounds like more posturing to get the council to give him the stadium, I hope they remain firm.

Just been mentioned on Look North lunchtime bulletin; Cllr Brady has stated again it will go to public referundum IF they ever decide to sell it but its not up for debate right now.
Allam - hope the people of Melton welcome you with open arms.

| Allam = closest I could get to a n06head smilie
Good luck to the Allams if they seriously think they can build a stadium, pay the ongoing maintenance and fund a team in the premiership for less than £50M then good luck to them but more verbal diarrhea from him trying to get the stadium given to him.

| I aren't fussed who has full control. The council don't particularly do much and aren't actively looking to improve. I did like Allams idea of a sports village on the Walton street site but then where would people park? Our sporting facilities are terrible in the city for youngsters!

You should be because if it were the owners of Hull City I know that you won't be watching Hull FC from the KC Stadium. They are making it as hard as possible for us now as tenants (see any Hull FC stuff in reception in Citys off season?) it will be almost impossible for us to continue there if they owned the KC.

We have an agreement so I can't see us moving from the KC any time soon. Although the KC is a great venue and I enjoy it there, I'd much prefer it if we had our own stadium which is similar to Halliwell Jones or Langtree. Much prefer them to the KC IMO!

Whilst I agree the agreement is watertight, we're half (?) way through that now. Once that agreement is up, if Allam has ownership of the KC then its to us. I think everyone would prefer their own stadium if push came to shove but if we ever left I can't see us having something anything like we have at the minute.
Anyway, its never going to happen, just some inane ramblings of an old man, imo

| FC will not move from the KC if the Allams buy the stadium. He is a business man so why would he kick out a nice little money earner?

It might be 'a nice little money earner' but if he looks at the state of finances for RL clubs (and by the way at lot of Football clubs) he will be a party to their demise. He feels the need to add to the costs of Hull FC at the moment - something that will come out soon - so god help us if he ever gets his hands on the Stadium.

I know we have to pay to hire the walls of the reception area to hang our memoribilia at the KC Stadium ie the shirts on the wall, the big long picture of the players etc and the SMC want a massive amount each season to do that.

| I said at the time when the KC was built and the SMC born that the company running the SMC should be totally independant from any of the Stadiums tenants and also have some council representation.
Allam whilst running the SMC will do all he can to lever Hull FC and AP out the door. The sports village is just a big white elephant and a flight of fancy similar to many of the Manor Properties ideas and plans.
The KC was built as the community stadium and as such should always remain so, so that all clubs be it Hull City, Hull KR & us will always have a ground to play.

| Good post Chris! I expected this sort of thing with the new appointment at Hull City and made my personal views about it clear in the Diary this week. For me if ever there was a battlefield into which the fans of the FC should consider planting their flag and digging in, it is the private ownership of the KC! It would be a disaster for our Club particularly if it was the football club that owned it.
But fear not.....Its all Just posturing again isn't it? It all goes back to Mr Allam offering the Council under £1m for the Stadium and all the surrounding ground including the Park and the Fairground. What he was going to do with it was pretty unclear but whatever it was it was to be "A gift to the City"......... Right!
I spoke to a senior Hull politician who indicated that should anyone offer the Council around £40m for the facility which would give them the opportunity to recoup the residents investment in it in the first place, then they would have to consider selling and offer the decision to the public in a referendum. But they can't just give it away! As for the future of Hull City being elsewhere where is that then? I don't know who you are Basher but someone I hold to be a very knowledgeable soccer fan said to me at lunchtime that if a team like Liverpool with their attendances and backing cannot afford to re locate to a new ground how the heck are City going to do it.
Anyway if a new Stadium is to cost at least say £60m why not offer the full amount for the KC and get on with it? It was interesting to hear on Humberside today a procession of folks lamenting the lack of concerts and other events happening at the Stadium since Adam departed the first time as well, if it were used more then it would probably make more money being the concensus. Mr A obviously has a greenfield site in mind West of the City and as Frepenny boy said earlier I am sure that Those in Welton will welcome it with open arms, or how about a nice waterfront Stadium.....North Ferriby supporters be very affraid of your new owner.
But seriously its all Hot air again.......toys prams and dummies!
Perhaps someone should ask Mr Allam where exactly if not at the KC the future of Hull City does lie then.
