It's about time that Steve Prescott, a great human being got true recognition for his unstinting Charity Work and his sheer courage and determination.

If enough likes are obtained, I intend to contact the MP for St Helens, to make him aware of the campaign and to at least open up discussion with fellow MP's to lobby for a Knighthood for Steve.

It's about time the BBC recognised him on SPOTY with the Helen Rolanson Award for Sports People who have ovecome adversity. What Steve has done, especially for others since his illness is amazing!

Isn't there an on line Government petition that has to be aired in the House of Commons if a certain number of people sign up, 100,000? (someone like Hutchie would know) Anyway good call and by what ever means necessary lets get him that knighthood!

Only thing to bear in mind is that the honours process has to be confidential, so any public campaign would make it difficult for this to happen. There is nothing to stop people making individual nominations for honours via the relevant government website.
