Kinda surprised Mr Agar would want him when he coached him last time he never picked him, no great loss though he was never SL standard.'"
I always wanted him to kick on and step up another level but it never happened. It will be intresting how he goes at Wakefield with regular first team opportunitys.

| Says in LE that he played 12 games in first team under Agar. Is that not true?
His 'CV' looks good but haven't seen anyone from Hull lamenting his departure.
Dead duck or untapped potential?

He has a lot of pace but needs to build on defense, tbf I think he was brought into first team too early by Agar, could be untapped potential, worth a punt at the right price.

| Are his chances of a game really any better at Wakey? Personally, I think they arguably have a better pair of wingers than us next year, Fox and Cockayne have been 2 of their best players whenever I've seen them.

In terms of difficulty for somebody wanting to break into a side containing either pairing, yes. From Lyne's point of view, he needs to be looking at a winger he feels he can displace from a side. Looking at who will be the 4 first choice wingers at the 2 sides, I don't personally see how anyone could see either of Fox or Cockayne being the prime candidate. It's Crookes/Lineham IMO.

Gentle never rated Lyne, whereas he thinks very highly of Lineham and has had his eye on Crookes all year. Cockayne on the other hand isnt nearly quick enough for the wing and has been there because there is no one better.

I really can't stand Cockayne, but I have to give credit that every time I've seen Wakey this year he's been one of their best players. Based upon nothing else other than playing ability at this moment in time, I'd find it hard to justify picking any of Lyne, Crookes, or Lineham ahead of him.
