watched the leeds,catalan game last night,don`t know why hemmings and co,were`nt wearing leeds tops,the way they kept harping on about them.thought they where supposed to be neutral.as for thaler,joke.he is standing opposite a catalan ruck in front of leeds line,and he did`nt spot peacock not standing square and reaching out to grab the ball.no penalty for catalans.he needs to go to specsavers,and his pals with the flags.

Totally agree, a number of odd decisions but how many fans would the Catalan have brought to next round? Could there be a connection?

Refereeing in s/l is bog standard,but how many important decisions did thaler get wrong last night,maguire's blatant knock on from the kick off which wasn't given and from which leeds scored to go 26-14 in front,and the leeds knock on he missed with about 5 mins to go.Touch judges might as well be done away with,a total waste of time.!

Agreed, plus we have the benefit of replays too, its the decisions which they miss which look blatant that annoy me, and unfortunately there seems to be more and more.

They get more right than wrong. I'm not saying they don't need to improve as the standard isn't the best but it's a tough job.

I've got a tough job too. If I made as many mistakes as the majority of SL refs I'd have been sacked years ago.

It being a tough job is no excuse for incompetence. And it goes all the way up to their boss.
