We must have allocated a sizeable chunk of the salary cap to him.

It seems unlikely we will be able to sign a high profile alternative at this stage.

Do we use the money to try to keep players who may otherwise be leaving e.g. Aspinwall, McGoldrick?

Do we use it to offer improved deals to some of our contracted players?

Do we hang on to the money in case a big name player becomes available?
