I questioned whether there was a 24 hour period before BBC could show highlights I did not profess to know the answer, so yes you were being pedantic by picking up on the fact that the highlights had commenced 2 hours before this time.

Sky pay a fair wedge for their coverage of SL so of course there will be a dictate that states a period of time before the BBC can broadcast highlights, as stated I do not know the finer details.

I don' buy into your 6:15pm slot being the only nationwide slot available, it was on again when we got home from the pub after being at the game (around 11.30 I think). That said 6.15pm is a much better time to put the playoffs out to a nationwide audience, but the point of this thread is why the FC game was not shown, so I stick with my belief that this was down to contractual arrangements between Sky and BBC (as stated I do not know this to be fact, so am prepared to be corrected by any one who does)
