Hi i'm doing some research for my final year at university and would appreciate it if anyone would be able to answer these questions for me.

a) What does it mean to be a rugby league fan?

b) Has the relocation of stadiums changed this meaning?

a) It means you/I are/am a fan of rugby league

...yeah, not great questioning technique there,

why not try asking more closed questions so that you can get answers to things you want, rather than relying on people to give you the answers - try a website like survey monkey to create a better questionnaire

also, you have not given a great introduction to the question, it is extremely vague and looks like you do not even understand the question your self - If you are asking for people to give up their time for this, then you need to make it easy for them to understand.

If you are writing a dissertation on this subject then surely you have done more research and can adequately explain why this information would be helpful to you so that people can guide their responses. If not, then I would choose another subject.

I used to follow football but it's too business like now, not fro true fans and the players wages are a joke. Rugby is a sport for people who dont buy into the pretence of football and like honest true sportsmen who are also humble (99.9%!) normal people. They are approachable and not treated like precious superstars.

Plus it's also a far more exciting sport to watch most of the time.

Moving stadium, although sad due to the rich histories accumulated there over decades and centuries even, is enevitable. People will always prefer the better facilities and in time becomes a new chapter with it own history. I think a new stadium, especially when used for other things like concerts and football, is also less intimidating to potential new fans. I think we Hull the majority of people are very happy with the setup. It benefits the club due to only renting rather than owning and is the envy of a lot of other teams.

And I agree with the other posts about the question style, not sure if what I've put is the answer you are after or how it can be manipulated into usefull fact based information.

Do you think the atmosphere for fans has changed within new stadiums?
Have you noticed a difference when travelling to away grounds?

Happy to answer anything but give us questions that are easy to interpret and answer (rather than us having to write your thesis for you !)
