Well done to the kid

I dont think he's played enough games to have a real shot tbh but well done for making the shortlist.

Think hes a bit over rated at the minute to be honest, granted he's got potential, just think he lacks a bit of pace and size, but hes only young, plenty of time to beef up

The kid has show a lot of potential, hopefully they will get him beefed up, still only a pup so plenty of time.

So few of our youngsters have made it to the top level in recent years but I have no doubts Ben will become an established SL player and possibly an international.

This so called lack of pace and not taking he outside may have something to do with him playing with this knee injury for several weeks probably not felt confident enough in it to take the outside.

Pleased he's been nominated, but hard to see Bateman not winning IMO.

Could be, hope so, want the lad to succeed at Hull, just sometimes us Hull Fans, big the young lads up a little to much sometimes, lyne, lee, washbrook, im sure theres plenty more

This is true

Tbf to Washbrook, he looked very promising in the Loose Forward role. He then got shafted and had to play at 6 for a long time and so didn't progress as expected.

Likewise we shoot em down too soon also....can always recall Yeaman getting lambasted for his "weak defence" the first couple of seasons he played......how players develop hey!!!!

He is not a winger and I think he has been warned about getting pushed into touch so hasn't wanted to take the outside.
