| First let me start by saying well done and congratulations on the 2-1 series win.
You have out played us in every derby this season and should never have lost to us in Manchester; your team last night had guts and bags of aggression/enthusiasm which has been lacking in the Rovers team of 2012.
Your supporters also conducted themselves superbly (lots of singing after the game too, walking away from Craven Park).
I have never been ashamed of being Rovers supporter, I have always been very proud to support my team, but last night I was embarrassed, for my team and myself.
You put us to shame last night with your respect for the derby, I think the Rovers players forgot how important this fixture is to the people of Hull and got what they deserved, I can only hope that someone at the club reminds the players that this fixture is huge and should be treated with respect as it was by Hull FC last night.
Please don’t think I am trying to play your victory down by saying Rovers did not respect the derby, that is not my intention, I want to give credit where it is due and Hull FC and its supporters deserve all of our respect on this occasion.
My hope now is to somehow scrape into the play-offs and set up a KC date with Hull FC so we can try and get some revenge!
Well Done

| Thanks for the sentiments expressed in your post despite the diappointment you must still be feeling.
Its bad enough losing a derby but worse if you throw it away as Hull did in May or don't turn up as Rovers failed to last night.
The irony is that since 2007 Rovers' players have always seemed better motivated and more "up for" the derby than some Hull players who, like their last two coaches, did not appear to understand the importance of it to the fans e.g. the "its just another two points" attitude. Last night the situation appeared to be reversed and we saw the result.

| Apparently Sandercock's pre match interview on blunderside mentioned the derby being just another game to the players and coaches, more of a fans thing.. Is this true? Last night FC ripped in, as you would expect in a derby. Whereas we looked like we were trotting out for our first pre season friendly against Workington (no disrespect). You cant win a derby if you dont have the mindset that comes with it

To be fair to Dobby the House Elf, Gentle said exactly the same thing in his pre-match interview on Hull FC TV.

Interesting then, how both said that to the media however Gentle still managed to convey a pre match talk that motivated his players whereas Sandy failed miserably to do this

Peter has likely said one thing to the media and pundits and another to his team, Sandycock appears to have said the same to both?!
All in all great game and a polished performance from a supposedly patched up team. It's refreshing to see you guys been magnamanous in defeat....i certainly wouldn't be showing you that respect if we had lost last night!! Credit where it's due.

I work with two of dave hodgsons brothers and they said that after the game Neil Hugnel stormed into the dressing room and told they players that not been able to get yourselfs up for a derby game againsts fc and in front of the home crowd is simply not good enough .., maybe he should do the team talk

| 2-1 Series win?
It really does not register that way with me, I don't judge our season by results against Rovers.

A great way to undermine the coach and not the first time he's done it. He ought to focus on the important things such as naming club bars.
