Life is a game of inches, so is football. Because in either game - life or football - the margin for error is so small. I mean, one half a step too late or too early and you don't quite make it. One half second too slow, too fast and you don't quite catch it. The inches we need are everywhere around us. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone else around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when add up all those inches, that's gonna make the difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying! You've got to look at the guy next to you, look into his eyes. Now I think ya going to see a guy who will go that inch with you. Your gonna see a guy who will sacrifice himself for this team, because he knows when it comes down to it your gonna do the same for him. That's a team, gentlemen. TONY D'AMATO: |

| So who drops out of the current teams?
Wakefield and KR for me.
Salford, Widnes both got new stadiums. Cas have one on the way.
I know this will wind KR fans up, but if it ever happened they would also have the 1 team form each area issue to contend with as well as having a rubbish stadium along with Wakefield. Neither club tick many boxes.
10 teams, with a state of origin type tournament somewhere in there? War of the Roses?
Could be good, and less to share round in terms of quality players, could make for a stronger league and more quality all round?

| He said 12 clubs, I suspect it would be Bradford & Salford as both have serious financial problems.

| 10 teams would be OK. Play each other 3 times and alternate the extra fixture between home and away. Would increase competition and the quality of games and players
Get rid of
salford
widnes
rovers
wakefield
Bail out bradford and support london more effectively

| He said 12 teams. Teams to drop out would be 2 of Bradford, Salford and Cas.
Not much chance of London dropping out as apparently Sky are keen to keep them in.
Bradford possibly because of their current financial situation, plus poor Stadium.
Salford possibly because of financial issues.
Cas because of poor stadium and not fulfilling things that were stated in their licence application (such as the Stadium).

| Sorry meant 12 not 10.
But 10 could work....
And I would add London to KR & Wakey on that list.
Could toss a coin the between Widnes & Salford.
I want to see Bradford get back. They have a lot to offer the game.
What about a State of Origin series? Yorkshire v Lanacashire but players picked on the county they were born not on which club they play for? Example John Wilkin would play for Yorkshire.
Forget the French!!
I think done well that could be a great spectacle? And a break from the SL matches.
Of course the 3 match series would have to have 1 game at the KC? Probably the other 2 at DW Stadium & Galpharm. Could see 20000 crowds for them games if marketed right?
Won't respond to PhilB - no fact behind his reason and nothing added to the debate - is there a term for that?

| As much as I hate the dobbins I would not want them out of super league , even after years and years of watching the derby I still get butterflies and that sick feeling deep down in my gut.
I dont think it would be in the intrest of sl to lose kr either because
A.. The derby games up the av att for the league and especially the magic weekend
B.. The same as ourselfs teams like wakey, cass, salford and giants rely on the aways support that both our sets of fans bring to their grounds
Long live hull fc and long live super leagues only TRUE derby

Ten clubs? You think any club would be happy losing a third of their home games? The alternative would be playing some sides three time and some twice. That clearly is not fair. It's bad enough with the extra "Magic" fixture.

Play each team 3 times? Still 27 fixtures? Whoever scores the most tries in the first two games gets home draw in the third? I dont know!
Then again exactly how many do London bring to the KC anyway? Hardly a loss.
Huddersfield only brought about 200!
Current gene pool of players over 10 teams means they would all be stronger, the game would be better, more of an attraction - more fans?
Its just a thought.

| I fully agree with reducing the number of clubs but didn't the SL chairmen vote for 14 clubs ?
