you could see in the team a steel and determination within the players to carry on, not to give up (unlike under Agar we would of) and for long periods out muscle the 'world champions'.

It's clear to me that I still standby our season being over (after the Wakefield debacle) that PG is clearing the 'dead wood' and establishing a mental toughness within the players who pull on our great jersey slowly BUT SURELY.

What is the point of your last sentence? I don't see Leeds gloating and with Hardaker, Hall, Watkins et al, their future is bright. So when exactly did we "outmuscle" Leeds. Using undefinable sporting cliches does not hide the fact that we were never in the game from the moment Leeds scored. We lacked ideas in the opposition 25 as ever Seymour was awful. He is yet another Agar legacy and is the reason Hull are searching for a decent 7. Getting charged down by Ryan Bailey is about attitude rather than ability - as is being a stone overweight.

The problem imo was we certainly did not out muscle Leeds, and we reverted to one man rugby.

The problem is the 17 player who took the field were not good enough

whatever we did last night has to improve massively if the results go the right way 2morow then that would see us in 9th and we have catalan to play next away which will be a bridge to far!!
then we have to go to rovers which i think at this moment does not look good but hope things change by then and we get a prop in from bradford.
i honestly think that the only reason we are going to get in play offs this year is through bradford losing points.
we should be about six points clear of rovers and bradford right now the games we have had in the bag and lost.
but we cant look at what should of been just got to soldier on and think next season will be alot better although we are losing players i think the team will be better coached and have alot more commitment looking forward to seeing gentle and his own team.

Just a little worrying that we will start next season with probably half a dozen maybe more players in key positions on the pitch.

I know we'll probably have a couple of friendleys but! Think it could take half a dozen games for them to gel on the pitch, and addopt each others styles of playing?????

We need two new halfs for next season , Seymour doesn't do enough with the ball imo. His kicking game is no better than Horne's.

And hornes is not better than mine!

Seymour had a poor game, but in his defence the pack was well beaten, and he was given little protection by our forwards when attempting kicks.

We badly lack both power and pace in the side. Players like Horne, Lynch, Whiting, McGoldrick all have some good qualities to bring to the team, but collectively they are very slow.

Moa and O'Meley are badly missed at the moment, players like Pitts simply don't make the same impact in the oppositions defence.

yer hopefully they will gel quite quick and i think they will do with a good pre season with gentle just look how we started this season we was on fire in defence and doing some good stuff in attack the biggest loss this year has been mckinnon and there is no argument about it he was making things happen like patten for salford take him out and your link up and support play is shattered like ours has been since he left defenatly need a new full back and a good half and 2 massive props to get over the advantage line i think we have the backs to match any team next year but need some big guys to give um some room

Definetly....................for most of this season, people are slating our halfs, i agree they are not world class!!! But for most of this season they have being playing behind a beaten pack, But also................where has that fire in defence gone??? I think the pressure we have put our selfs under is showing a little.............poor decisions in attack, and certain players commiting a little too much in defence?

we need to get a grip,with our full team playing we are a 5 or 6 placed team, with our injuries we are struggling,the effort was there last night but we just are not good enough,

Let's hope our 8 mystery signings are more in the ellis bracket than the pitts and watts bracket

How do you figure that out? We are in 7th 3 points above 9th, so worse case we end up 8th at the end of this round of fixtures.
