Gentle commented about it in last week after the match...Horneys injury record really has to be a concern now, big worry if he is penciled in to cover a specific role next season eg F/back

This is my worry he will not play half of next season so we will be in the same boat .

Tend to agree with this. Horne's injury record feels like it's quite poor, although I've not checked the stats, and has to be a worry for next year if he's taking up cap space and is earmarked as a first choice either 6 or 1.

I've just looked it up. According to the stats on the Hull website, out of the 17 competitive matches played so far (16 SL, 1 CC) he has:

started 10
interchange for 1
completely missed 6



edit: Whilst I was there I looked up O'Meley's stats. He's been involved in 6 games (start or bench) and has completely missed 11.

This year's isn't exactly great. He's missed approx. 1/3 of our games. Not great for someone in a prominant position within the squad and presumably a decent wage (and the £50k subtraction argument is no longer relevant as Yeaman will now qualify).

At the upper end of the scale in our club without a doubt.

Just checked the match reports for the 2011 season. According to them, Horne played in 28 of 31 competitive matches for us last year.

I would have let him go before he signed his last contract.

Same, however to give him 3 yrs like they did was sheer madness considering the amount of time he had missed due to his kneck injury and he had not even found form when he got the deal
