A VINTAGE open-top bus, flags, bunting and all the fun of the fair will greet Hull FC supporters ahead of the club's crunch Super League game against St Helens.

The west Hull club has planned a fun-filled, jubilee-themed fan park ahead of Sunday's game.

Everything from fairground rides, face painting and quad biking will greet fans.

The club is aiming to make it a carnival atmosphere for the Jubilee weekend.

James Clark, head of media and marketing at Hull FC, said: "This will be more than just a game, it will be a great occasion for everybody in the city to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee at the best event going on in Hull that weekend, serving up entertainment both on and off the pitch.

"It will be a great chance for people to come together for something more than just rugby league, although the game itself promises to be just as exciting on the field."

The fan park will also include live music, rugby coaching, archery, craft stalls and balloon modelling.

"But it's going to be more about much more than just Super League action," said Mr Clark.

"It's about celebrating a once-in-a-lifetime moment and we're all looking forward to a great day at the KC Stadium and in West Park."

Runners taking part in the Hull 10k earlier in the day will be offered discounted tickets for the game.

Inside the stadium, there will be a Queen tribute act as well as a rendition of God Save The Queen by local classical singer Leroy Vickers.

The fan park will run from about 11am to kick-off, which is 2pm.

A variety of tickets for the game are on offer, including an adult and child in the family area for £25, a family of four can cheer on the Black and Whites for £50 and additional junior tickets bought with these offers are just £9.

Every ticket in the South Stand is less than £20.
