They are muppets, however although we did suffer a lot of injuries which clearly had a detrimental impact it is all about a squad at this level. A lot of teams suffer injuries the difference is the top clubs have depth in their squads, hopefully AP, Bomber and Gentle will go some way to rectifying this for the future.

The bias is shocking. They all hate Hull but who gives, so does everyone else. It will all just make it so much sweeter when we start dominating SL in the near future

To be fair Eddie did pull him up on the "embarrassing" bit, putting the blame, indirectly, on the underinvestment in youth before Pearson.

I look forward to the next time Wigan have an injury crisis and have no suitable kids to play. Presumably Phil will encourage them to play with 15 or 16 to avoid the embarrassment he clearly feels is linked to loan players

I read on a here after the Leeds game that one of the muppets was still banging on about "we still haven't played anyone" when he realised the game was won.
When if he'd engaged brain he'd have realised that with the exception of Catalans, WE HAVE !!

Would have been beautiful if someone on the panel not on a anti Hull agenda could have brought that to his attention.

Don't usually mind Phil Clarke TBF but his comment during the commentry of "I don't know why Hull are so bothered about losing Manu, they got him from Cas anyway" really annoyed me. What does it matter where we got him from? The fact is we are losing a quality player, I noticed Stevo was quick to tell him so.

Nope. Stevo said something along the lines of "some people said they hadn't played anyone yet - well they're just about to beat the Champions!" or similar. It was a compliment. Sort of.

Who cares?

I honestly couldn't give a flying one about how much 'credit' we get from the Sky team or anyone else for that matter. The only thing that counts is winning games and, eventually, silverware. If we do that then the carpers will look increasingly stupid and we can all have a good laugh at their expense. Bonus.

Turner, Yeamo, Horne, Seymor, Mark O, Eamon O, Aspinwall, Heremaia, Westerman. Thats nine if my maths is correct. Most Hull fans know we would give anybody a game with a near full side out but to loose nine is a big ask of anybody.

Did make me laugh when leeds were getting beat they showed Burrow and Hauraki sat on the bench commenting on how they had big stars out. NOBS the lot of em. Apart from Carney.

TBH I don't usually give two hoots what the Sky Commentary Team think about us, I usually have a good laugh but I thought that was a pretty stupid comment to make from Phil Clarke....we have injuries, what is the embarrassment in that? Also why be embarrassed that Wade went home? Should everyone who brings in a loan player have to be embarrassed for doing so? I bet Rovers weren't embarrassed when they brought in Charnley, it did him the world of good.

Loaning players benefits three fold, the club who are in a pickle and need a player quickly, benefitting the player getting first team experience and benefitting the club the loan player came from as their player is getting more and more game time experience.

Absolutely nothing to be embarrassed about and a crass comment to make.

As for the "why bother about Manu he came from Cas" comment was he icon_biggrin.gifRUNK: because I still have no idea what that was supposed to mean icon_stupid.gif

As a Rovers fan, I also found some of Clarkes comments bizzare.
Embarrassed to loan players??? It's unfortunate that for a lot of teams its a neccasary evil. My favorite was the Willie Manu was only from Cas one. Did make me laugh. What does it matter where you sign a player from, its how he performs that counts, I wonder what Cas fans thought about it lol.
It has been quite amusing reading this whole thread and the Millwall chants of 'no one likes us but we don't care' lol.

i know how bizarre was that?? does that mean anyone who comes from Cas are crappp???????
Clarke was a great player but as a pundit really does get bogged down in utter tripe facts and figures that no one else gives a toss about but then on ocassion does show his true colours like he did in that one Manu sentence!!! and the statememnt about the wigan youngster.

You know i guess he is just another wigan fan who done good and as such is biggotted which is ok by me in reality because with the tweedle dee and tweedle dum sky sports duo of stevo and hemmings he provides light relief..

think about it
Clarke.. a frustrated ex player trying to look cool but clearly anti hull fc and always has been
Stevo.. lived his life off the back of a world cup winners medal and spouts about the biff all time yet was one of the worst offenders when a player....
hemmings.. used to be the window cleaner at red hall
the shouting idiot... another frustrated ex player who cant do a report without nearly orgasming due to shouting so much.

all in all the aussie press got it right when they called it , commentary by monty python

what ever they say, we thumped Leeds and neither the sky team, red hall or GH can change that...........
