thought he fitted in really well today and looked at ease on his debut. looked the part, and a lot slimmer as well, he is used to playing against men, as nl1 has some tough players unlike nicko who i think looks a little small still,, for me ellis looks the better of the two, for now, hope he keeps his place on the bench

He was out of position at hooker.....passing from floor was slow and all over....took a wrong kick option and gave the postition....would liked to have seen him on for Horne who was poor again.....all he did was try the kick through

A player who looked like he wanted to do a lot more than just cover dummy half , He'll get the position he wants eventually imo. Put a couple of decent kicks in today .

He will get his chance in the halfs just needs more 1st team game time now. only way he will get better.

He looked Sharp when he got on. In one one move he showed more zip with his step and pace than Horne did all the match. Would be tempted to give him some gametime in the halves against Widnes.

Ellis took the line on didn't he, in his brief spell - which is more than Seymour did in an entire 80 mins!

How can a scrum half not put one seed of doubt in the oposition. He was steady, don't get me wrong but disappointing for me. As for Horney, a kickathon, looks lost, doesn't know what to do with the ball.

Same old, same old - no half backs for me. Our pack dominated and laid a fabulous platform. We couldn't deliver.

Put Ellis in at 6 and see how we go.

I agree that our halves - both of them - played too far away from Wakefield to cause them enough problems. They needed to play much closer to/at the line with their runners around them and I think that's what needs to be worked on. To a small extent Ellis did this albeit from hooker and his debut was reasonable. His distribution from acting half was a bit slow and innaccurate though and is something that needs to improve whether playing hooker or half back.

Ellis is not a hooker and was unbelievable at scrum half. Top try scorer, scoring about 35 tries I think. If he is not being played though I wouldnt mind him back on a dual reg to keep playing at a good standard in his preffered position rather than in the 20's

I noticed that too. Very vocal to the point of being bossy. I like that alot. Not too many young blokes like that in sl today.

I'm all for giving Ellis a start. See how it how it goes. Horne is a good option on the bench. He can cover a few positions it's a change to have a steady head to call on from the bench instead of a young raw talent that your only willing to play if we are 30 points infront.
