| My kids (16 and 18 by the way - not babies) absolutely love it and have monitored every nuance.
After try conceded, waits attentively leaning forward at the halfway line until every opposing player (except the goal kicker) is back in their own half. Then walks purposefully to centre, sticking exactly to the halfway line. Places ball on centre, perpendicular to half way line. Stands upright facing tunnel. After goal kick taken, and as players approach to take kick off, extends kicking tee holding arm at exactly 90 degrees to body and once position adopted, does not acknowledge players or indeed move until kicking tee is taken. Runs back to ten yard line and takes a knee (left I believe). After kick-off taken, looks both left and right to ensure no stragglers before rising to run and pick up tee. Returns to own ten yard line before moving along it towards touchline, ensuring play well away up at the other end, before arcing his run back to the dug-out. Legend.
Have I missed anything?

Yup, he's been there years. Me and my brother comment on it all the time. He posed the question about why he looks left and right, which I replied that maybe a straggler has run into him before. Surely enough, the next kick off saw a penalty for being offside at the kick off, resulting in players everywhere near the tee and the guy avoided them all. Had to adjust his return to the touchline though. Ran across the 30m line instead of the 40m!
I don't like how he cuts a corner when he returns along the 40 though. How unprofessional!

| As part of a pre match experience for the kids team that I coach, we were introduced to him sorting out the kit etc in the Quins changing room last year beofre the game at the KC and I can tell the bloke is a legend. He stopped what he was doing and gave the kids a good deal of his time explaining his role and what he was doing.
Proper character, real nice bloke
