| there was a debate going on today who should have got the halfback role with horney, ive not been overley impressed with horne lately who'd be willing to give ellis and nicklas a punt at 6 and 7 while seymour is out injured?
Big gamble but could prove to be a shrewed move.

| having seen both ellis and nicklas against york and featherstone, gentle got the selection spot on! nicklas imo, also his showing against the bulls last week didn't do him any harm!

Thought Horney had a great game today, in defence, attack and kicking.

I have not being impressed with Horney for 2 seasons!! however based on the last 2 games there is no reason he should be dropped!! he is playing well and if he can stay consistent I will be happy for him to keep his spot.

| Do people get sucked into to thinking Horne has played properly? I only ask because a few around me said he had a poor game, I thought he played well today and certainly put his body on the line for a few spilled balls at times as well. Defence was solid and did ok in attack.

| Horne was my MOM today. Also liked the fact he is was clearly taking time to talk to Nicklas before and during the game to help him out.

| Thought nicklas was solid today and didnt look out of place but had a debate with my mates as to why nicklas was preferred to ellis, after all ellis is more experienced we thought that maybe ellis is still struggling with his weight and that nicklas is just alot fitter then him so got the nod ahead of him.

| You know what is refreshing about all this. The fact we have other options in the halfbacks, Gentle said he would play the youngsters when needed and he showed it today putting Nicklas in against the League winners.

According to Gentle in his after-match interview, Nicklas just has his nose in front of Ellis at the moment for the backup half spot.

| Felt Gentle made the right decision with going with Nicklas as he showed better spells in pre season. I possibly would have gone with Ellis on the bench rather then Turner but both are great prospects for the season ahead.

| Horne was very good, some great kicking too for a change.
He and Seymour should be a top partnership.
