| I have created this as a new topic because it isn't about the Daily Mail story as such....
However, Adam Pearson's announcement that we will be entering a period of better relationships with our (lesser) neighbours appears to be the usual one-sided arrangement.
Their chairman's willingness to wade in and say what HE thinks should happen on a matter that does not involve his club suggests that things haven't changed at all in the east, with the usual willingness to score cheap points via ill-mannered soundbites.
No doubt Gollum and co will be lapping this up too, presenting hudgell as the fount of all knowledge yet again.
Personally I don't think that their points-scoring agenda has changed one iota from the days of Klempka, Lilley, Lowe etc and whilst I applaud AP's noble attitude we still need to recognise this cheap rabble for what they are.

| As much as I feel it has taken him all this time to speak up (which is rather annoying) I actually tend to agree with him to some extent. I do feel that the old board should be looked into. I still don't think we've heard the last of it so why not let them investigate them get whatever they need to say out and we can move on as a club.
At the end of the day AP has come in and turned fortunes around (Back Room) already, something I believe will happen on the field, yet our old board still continue to drag us down, so why not drag them through it too.

Doesn’t the fact the RFL asked UKAD to allow Gleeson to play against his team give him the right to query that decision ?

| Why does he have to get involved? Why does he not ask about the Senior incident, the Tomkins salary cap fudge, his own team getting exemptions on quota players?
Sh*it stirring and nothing more.

Having just had a deeper look at the WADA website he's on a hiding to nothing anyway. Turns out that MHA is only prohibited for use in competition so as long as none of the Hull players had taken any within 12 hours of the game - and they had a few days notice following Gleeson's positive test - there was no offence incurred in any case.
This also explains why no action has been taken against any of the other players who allegedly admitted to using OxyElite Pro. It's all about timing and the only way to prove anything is for a positive test following a game.

| I think Grudge has every right to feel aggrieved in fact I think he should push for that match to be stricken from the record books and the result made null and void.

quite right too, they should have been awarded some more points for the inconvenience, and with a different draw in the playoffs they would have gone on to win the grand final obviously

He won't get any change from the RFL and looking at what you've said there seems to be some sense in the decisions that have been made. The incident was investigated in full and all evidence was put forward.
Why does he need to be given answers? If this was Saints and one of their players would he have said the same today, not a chance!
