I know its a tad early to chat about this game, but having read the Myler situation then reading they are in Aussie for 3 weeks and taking on South Sydney on the 28th Jan which is a turnaround of only 7days before meeting us.....they must be there for the taking big style.
3 weeks in Aus (summertime) and then back to balmy England.....gotta ask if that club has too much money......

On the other hand they might be in the best pre season shape of their lives with 3 weeks warm weather training, and either team may pick up more injuries before then. I think it will be a very tough opening fixture, personally. Good to get one of the toughest games out of the way though before Warrington find form.

| I was a bit puzzled reading that they played Souths only a week before they play us, especially after being down under for 3 weeks. Its going to be a bit of a transition spending a day travelling then adjusting back to our time zone while trying to train and prepare for a game in less than a weeks time. Shame we can't bring the game forward to friday night  |

I dont think anyone is kidding themselves, Wire must think the benefits out weight the downsides.
Imagine the complaining on here if we were still down under a week before opening game. |

Heremaia has suggested the potential to get to a Grand Final at some point. Mick Vella said you would win the Grand Final in 2010.

Hmm. Danny Tickle, who is not exactly a world-renowned pundit, said he though Westerman "can be" as influential. Not that "he is of equal class." The subtleties of reading font in smaller size than the headlines seems to be a bit challenging, but never mind. As far as I am aware, Joe Westerman has not won Super League Young Player of the Year, but Richard Whiting did once.

This is good news, you're right. However, Warrington are getting the best pre season of any club in SL against some class competition, and have a week to sleep off any jet lag before tipping up in peak condition at the KC. Tony Smith has said the camp goes way beyond anything the Wolves have done in previous years in, er, Tenerife. D'oh! 
FWIW, I'm looking forward to the game.
