I've been asked to get someone a DAB radio for christmas, and she's an avid match day Radio Humberside listener.

Of course, Radio Humberside will occasionally switch matches over onto AM if there's a clash of fixtures;
does anyone listen on a DAB radio, or know if this is even a problem on DAB radios?

dab radios can also switch to fm as well so you should get the best of both worlds.

you can't get many dab radios that have am as they were designed to replace the am waveband, most only switch between dab and fm as far as i know. i have a roberts dab cost about £50 and its excellent - great sound and will charge up your batteries if plugged in (and as long as you use rechargeables of course).
humberside broadcast sport on a combination of dab, internet, am and fm when more than one of the regions teams are playing, but for FC will only be a problem when rovers are playing at the same time as they rarely clash with football - perhaps only the challenge cup ties. it can be quite random as to who gets what waveband when clashes occur - i think for a while the team playing away got the fm slot as the reception could be picked up further away from hull, for those travelling to the games, for example i can get fm humberside in the car until almost at huddersfield
