Thoughts?
Frankly, I think it's pathetic. Countries aren't clubs, you can't just switch around. He's played for the NZ Maori and the Exiles in the past year, too. RFL and international RL looks a joke, this just undermines any credibility our sport had.

| just confirmed my feeling about international RL now, it's meaningless, I'd prefer the FC players from all nations to sit it out and have a rest.

| Chase is New Zealand born and bred, (aye bro oh yea) that's his favourite 4 words.
I live in Auckland and I know passionate RL supporters who have never heard of him, seriously Chase isn't that good.
I find this embarrassing Chase is an average player who would't get a look in over here.
England have we become that desperate?

| The star stand off in Super League wants to play for England - dont agree with it really but if it makes us stronger then I'm happy. The aussies and kiwi's have been doing this for ages, why shouldnt we?? They do it in cricket, union etc so its hardly groundbreaking

Kevin Pietersen !
I'm not sure whether i disagree or not, but i will be disappointed if it costs Lomax his chance. He definitely deserves a go, Australia wouldn't think twice about throwing a young kid in the deep end and look where that has got them!

| RL in England really is a joke with this decision, he's not got a hope in hell to become a NZ international so he picks England.
NZ and Au are laughing at us we really are joke.

This thread isnt 'Have a pop at Rangi Chase'
Your completely wrong to call chase him an average player. Im obviously going to be biased because im a Castleford fan - but every Superleague club would jump at the chance o have Rangi Chase on their books. Your obviously someone making judgements on the 4 games youve watched on Sky this year. You have to be a little more than 'Average' to win the Albert Goldthorpe Medal and be nominated for Man of Steel.
Back on topic, his inclusion is a joke and we should really be concentrating on bringing our own English youngsters through the ranks. I seem to remember the same situation happening with Willie Manu a couple of years ago?
Fact is, if his playing style wasnt so similar to Benji Marshal, He'd be in the New Zealand squad right now.

Assuming you're fishing, there was a similar rumble of objection when he got in the training squad last year.

| I kinda dont agree with it, but other sports do it and Oz and NZ have been at it for ages so if you cant beat them, join them.
One positive is that IF it makes us more competetive, it will only raise the profile of the game. We'd get more media coverage if we got to the final that if we didnt

[quote="The Reason":3e09qe5x]Hi Andy
The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

Widdop is gash? The same stand off who helped take his side to the minor premiership?
Lomax isn't as good as Cronk but that's irrelevant. It's not about winning next month it's about developing our young players.
