Just a quick question, what ever happened to having a video referee at every game? I seem to remember it being used briefly last season or the season before. It was a good concept in my opinion.

I'm sure it was on trial a either last season or the season before. There was no big screen but a referee couild signal for it to be reviewed and he would be told via his head piece whether it was a try or not.

Trialled for the 1st time with our game against the dobbins at Craven Park in 2008 IIRC, can't think of it being used since.

I'm sure we used it as a trial for a couple of games in 2008, didn't realise one was a derby tbh, Wigan game seems to ring a bell but it was deemed too expensive for all clubs to install, use and maintain. There was a silly figure of £250,000 banded about IIRC.
