Was tearing up trees at Wigan before his injury last season, I'd give him another season and see how he goes with a full pre-season behind him. From what I've seen so far he looks solid in defence, after a bit of a shakey start, his support play is as good as anything we have and he adds another dimension in attack, and he's still young. He also appears to have confidence in his own abilities, could be an excellent long term fixture, after all we can't have quota'd superstars in all key positions. Can cover a few key positions as well, although only on a short term basis.

If he continues as he is at the moment, I'd offer him a 2 year deal

If phelps had been FB against saints instead of whiting I reckon we'd have won.
