LEE RADFORD has it in mind to jump into the ring with Hull KR's new Aussie signing Willie Mason.
Hardman Mason is famous for decking England prop Stuart Fielden in a Test match three years ago.
Fielden and Hull's Radford once helped raise £50,000 for ex-rugby leaguer and cancer victim Steve Prescott in a charity boxing match.
Radford won that one in two rounds. If he gets permission for a bout with bad boy Mason it could stretch the KC's 25,000 capacity.

| If it's for charity, fair enough, but realistically:
Radford v Mason
Age 31 v 30
Height 6ft 1 v 6ft 4
16st v 18st 2
Didn't Mason plan on pursuing a professional boxing career? Laudable idea if it's for the Prescott fund or other charity, but lunacy on Radford's part IMO. On the other hand, if Radford won, how hilarious.

Who's not to say Radders would knock ten bells out of Mason?.It could be the next David and Goliath part 2.

Wasn't Audrey Harrison taller, heavier and had a longer reach than David Haye?

Hmmm nice stats, just like Harrison and Haye, they were just as close
Besides Radford, like him or not, is THE hardest player in SL

| Radford would knock him out seriousley.
I'm not saying that because I am an FC fan but its just the way it would be. Mason would have the reach advantage but Radford would just be able to get up close to Mason and Mason would struggle to land a decent punch. When Mason knocked out Fielden he did it from a distance as opposed to straight after that incident when Jamie Peacock went toe to toe with him Mason couldn't hack the pace as he didn't have enough room to let rip a decent one.
Either way I'd buy a ticket for the bout.

Was thinking that as I posted. Radford's not considered a pro boxing career has he?

Mason is alright picking on people but if people stand and trade with him he does not like it. Radford would be right in his face, of course no one knows unless it happens.

| The winner would be the SPF.
If Mason was willing to fight on the outside with the aim of winning, rather than providing entertainment, I'd give him half a chance. He has at least looked at boxing - though (wisely) not against serious opponents - so you'd assume he'd have done some technical work. Did Radford box as a kid or is he just hard? Either way, I suspect he'd just keep coming forward and do his damage on the inside.
As long as it was in the off-season, it'd be okay.

| I'd probably pay to see this bout, but I'd rather see Hame v Clunt in a WWE-style hardcore match.
