| Whether he excites you or gives you a fright when he has the ball, everyone must admit that Jordan Tansey is somewhat of an enigma.
On a personal level, I have no doubt that Tansey is a naturally gifted player who has the ability to do some fantastic things on a rugby field. However, I am finding myself increasingly frustrated at some of the basic errors he comes up with on a regular basis and some of his poor decision making.
I don’t want to be too critical of the player, but after reading and hearing several fans opinions about him possibly been the England full back for the four Nations, I realised that my view of the player differs enormously from that train of thought.
So people, what are your thoughts on Jordan Tansey. Does he excite or does he fright?

| Hes a Maverick
The stuff he does wrong I think can be worked on and perhaps trained out of him, some is posssibly down to concentration, some of the stuff he does right you can't teach! Just my opinion of course.

| Excite, the only player in our backs that can score trys like he does, very good attacking player, we havent had a good an attacking back since Barnett (NZ one!)
Ok he makes mistakes, but his positive far outweigh his negatives, if he could cut out his errors, or at least a good percentage he could become a international FB.
32 errors this year isnt good enough for a FB.

| Long term, Tansey at 6 as that will eliminate some of his weaknesses and allow him to play to his strengths. Horne to FB where he has always looked good, and there will be less pressure for him to create as he seems to struggle.

| Makes far too many errors to even be considered International class. If he could cut those out then he would be the real deal IMO.

| Tansey's a class player however, he tries too hard at times. I think if he kept things basic and by that I mean play to his strengths and not try to please others, he could be even better. The 'off-the-cuff stuff is great and I would'nt want that to stop but, he gets ahead of himself at times.
He plays for the crowd instead of his team at times and this can be trained out.

| He'd be a great full back if he could learn to catch high balls, didn't dither about with the ball in the in goal area leading to regular drop outs, didn't run too upright leaving hiself open to being pushed back over the line leading to drop outs and didn't run straight towards the touchline after fielding kicks in goal resulting in him being tackled into touch.
Exciting player yes, natural full back no

| Still a young player making mistakes but a class act in my opinion I like him at full back where he has more freedom , if he can cut down on mistakes he will be international before long

| He's only 23 and is playing his first full season in SuperLeague, in a position he has only played for 18 months.
Agar said himself that Jordan is either rocks or diamonds at the minute. The errors will disappear out of his game with the more experience he gets.
He's a FB, wants to be a FB and Hull FC want him to be a FB. Can't see it changing.

| Very exciting player, he makes far less mistakes than he used to at Leeds. It's probably down the fact that he is getting more gametime now. He is still maturing but we don't want to take the enterprise out of his game.
He will always make mistakes, he is that kind of player but his positives always outweigh the negatives imo.
