Apparently he played through illness tonight, was a doubt right up to k/o.

His never give up attitude was there for all to see. Not his best game in defence but never let his head drop. Just what i'd expect from the clubs captain. Great attitude and inspirational character.

Thought Longy ran himself in the ground tonight, he tried everything, his never say die attitude, definetely rubbed off on the rest of the team, you saw what it meant to him at the end of the game, great effort Longy!!

He gave 110% tonight, really lead by example and tried to do everything he could for the side.

Longy was great tonight, especially given the fact he'd been ill during the week.

He needs to practice his drop goals though.

Actually thought he wasn't all that great tonight TBH but the few things he did well were important. That "drop goal" attempt was shocking though.

By the way what happened to Long's 1st drop gaol attempt? did he just drop it or did the ball get stuck in the turf as it didn't appear to bounce.

I agree but wasnt aware of his illness prior to the game. He still was vital in our win and my God isnt it nice to have a playmaker/general in the side.

The guy knows how games are won. Second half time after time getting in at first receiver and making the right decisions. Hull haven't had a player like that for ages. Any of our aspiring youngsters should take note - you've got to want the ball and be in there taking responsibility and making the calls. For the last 2 seasons nobody wanted it apart from the odd cameo by Dykes etc. We have been playing with one arm tied behind our back for too long - it's great to see him in the black and white.

I thought he actually tried to 'dummy' the drop kick and then go round the Saints player, but ended up dropping it but i'd have to see it again

either that or he caught his reflection in the Saints players eye and thought 'my hair is looking even more ridiculous than ever this evening!' and dropped the ball in shock

He just seems to push mistakes out his head immediately and keeps coming. Just a top drawer player, with a mental attitude to match.
