I know that the disciplinary people have come in for a bit of a hammering this year, but it doesnt seem to be getting any better...

I was reading the RUgby Leaguer and if you get it you might have read the article about suspensions in the National Conference? Part of it reads..."Rochdale Mayfield's Sean Snape was banned for eight matches, found guilty...of an 'aggravated attack with clenched fists, intent on making contact with the head'"

Now, whether that is harsh or not, compared to what Senior (and others throughout the year) got for what is seemingly a comparatively similar offence...what is going on?! I know that the punishments are dished out by seperate people, but surely there must be some sort of standard across the board?

There is a standard across the board, and it goes something like -If you're Leeds, Saints, Wigan you get away with anything and everything, the only reason they let Gene off is because Saturday will be his last SL game.

Cannot believe an 8 match ban for a punch and a punch that never connected. Getting to the point where you cannot have a bit of biff in a game any more.

I remember quite a few years ago when Tim Street was banned for I think 4 games for throwing a punch that didnt connect, i blieve at the time the discaplinary panel stated that "He had INTENDED to hit him"

Where as Fatty Cunningham intended to hit and did connect with the Wakefield players eyesocket but was not banned.......... mmmmmm double standards me thinks

It has always been like this and always will be.

Incompetence? Corruption? Probably a bit of both.
