Can he actually speak English, or was this a joke?

Just been watching the replay on Sky+, and in the last incident with 10 seconds to go, the ref calls him and Radford over and the ref says "Can you speak English?" and Radford says "he can a little bit".

I was under the impression his first language was in fact English?

So you didn't hear his response in English, something like "what did you ask me that for" and "I'm not taking that from you".

Was just Radford winding silverwood up.
There is an interview with Hame on Hull FCTV.He certainly speak's english on that.

It was a pretty good wind up by Radford. Silverwood still getting the hook out of his mouth apparently.

Clearly not. Just watched it again. Yeah he says that after which I've just laughed at.

Silverwood - Do you speak English?
Lauaki - What?!
Radford - A little bit, just a little bit.
Lauaki - I'm not taking that sorta crap from you. Why you say that?
Silverwood - 'Cos he (Radford) said you can't speak English

If you watch the incident on the 68th minute when Silverwood has a word with Lauaki after the Morrison "reverse-gear" incident (great quote from Phil Clarke there!), Radford comes in and says "he can't speak English mate", which (in hindsight) is pretty funny!

apart from the fighting I was a bit underwhelmed by his performance to be honest, he spent most of the game out wide as though he was playing centre, when he should have been driving the ball up

i'll give him the benefit of the doubt though, as Agar probably told him to play on the wing or something

He was playing 2nd row for much of the match and IMO looked quite effective running out wide.

I thought he was asking if Radford spoke english!!

Lauaki is more of a ball playing back row forward then a battering ram prop, his main weakness is probably his defence. Was pretty quiet in the first half, but pretty decent second half. If he is anyway near the player he was at the Warriors he'll be a very good signing IMO.

He certainly seems to be a target of a few other clubs when they're playing. We need to play off that as often as possible. He drew in McCarthey-Scarsbrook against Quins, and now Morrison against Bradford. Just the sort of player we need.

Him, Manu and Moa all need to stay. They bring the aggression and back everyone up when needed.

Add O'Meley and Fitzbiggon to the list too. For years we have been way too soft in the pack.

Just need a world class half back that can boss us around the field, to compliment Long at 7 and we will be sorted
