Some really depressing stats there about our attack. Worst attack in the league apart from Salford and Celtic. Our defence isn't too bad, in the top half of the SL in fact. We just can't score tries. 15 tries in 24 halves says it all.

If you take out the first 5 games where we were playing well, it makes even more depressing reading. It begs the question: what have we been doing in training?

Looking at the number of Hull players who have scored 10+ tries in a Super league season over the last few seasons:

In 2004 we scored 151 tries in 28 games, this year we've scored 74 in 24.

What i read from this is that we are $hite, simple as. Grade A off the field, not even scraping a grade E- on it!

Tell me about it, We have only had one game this season when we knocked up a score of more than 30 points !!!

We dont have any creativity,any flair and basically we dont have a clue on how to score !!!!

Calderwood is the only one who has given us anything different or any flair and he gets dropped !!!

Totally agree attcking wise we were brilliant.

Bang on the money. In fact, is it too far to say in SL history? In purely attacking terms nobody comes to mind as less effective/skilful than we now are.

We might not have the lowest 'points for' but we are still the worst attacking side, Celtic look more threatening than us.

By some distance.

It would help if we could actually hold onto the ball in the tackle, catch, and pass. We must have one of the lowest completion rates in the competition.

Still - actually having the ball is 'overrated' according to our coach.

I dont even remember our attack being this bad when we had the likes of Mark Hewitt playing and we were poor for periods then, really poor.

I said halfway through the season that their attacking play is exciting and varied, they just dont have the standard of player to carry it off. With some good recruitment they will be much better next year

It really put it into perspective when i went up to Edinburgh and watched all the teams on 1 weekend. I said at the time that we looked like the worst organised team there, our attack was slow, laboured, clueless and predictable. Teams like Celtic and Salford were far better than us. Worrying thing is that our defence has gone backwards at pace too, Jon Sharp doing a good job there then!!
