This is a copy of the unanswered E-mail that I sent to KCFM this evening. I was hoping that you might answer it for me


Firstly I would like to commend whoever is behind our distinct shift in policy as regards our recruitment for 2010 because we are finally bringing exactly what we need in the way of quality players after a succession of very poor recruitment and retention decisions since 2005.

My question is regarding our quota. It seems to be a common opinion among fans that our quota is now full for 2010, firstly is this correct ?? Secondly, if that is the case, it would not only mean the end to our overseas signings for 2010 but it would mean that we are in the ridiculous position that even though Big Sam is getting better and better and showing the potential to become a very very good forward, he has absolutely no possible future at our club ?? Surely this cannot be correct, can it ???

Sorry I didn't get to your e mail. In short the majority of the credit must go to richard for our recruitment.

Secondly no quota not full yet for 2010.

plus possibilities such as

Moa
Cordoba.

Cordoba off quota, maybe Moa can come off and Manu can come off too?

Maybe he is saying the quota not full yet because O'Meley/Fitz dont have a visa yet?

Maybe Berro is going?

Would be nice to have further clarity would it.

At the risk of inciting the "you only post negative comment" brigade...


What a completely unprofessional reply, he should have explained why the quota is not full, who is on/off etc.

Even though he's taken the time to reply answering the questions asked people still aren't happy.

If true, good news. But with such a brief reply there's no reasoning to support it to give me confidence. And we have to remember that this is the guy who thought Thackray was fine to play.

Why can i see another case of Fc breaking the rules without realising.

He should have replied later, with a more detailed explanation.

It is very good of him to reply to my E-mail so quickly (within an hour or two) but his reply is obviously lacking any detail whatsoever, therefore I have replied with this.....

The way that most fans are translating the very confusing quota rules is as follows...

Peter Cusack Quota
Shaun Berrigan Quota
Mark O'Meley Quota
Craig Fitzgibbon Quota

Hame Lauaki Quota/non fed
Willie Manu Quota/non fed ( with the possbility of exemption from Nov 2010)

As we understand it, 2010 allows 6 overseas players, 5 of which can be Aussies/Kiwis, therefore it would appear to most fans that, unless there is an exemption given to Willie Manu or one of our quota players is allowed to leave, our quota is full and, therefore, we have no spare quota place in which to keep big Sam for 2010, whether Richard wants to or not. This would be very disappointing to many fans as he is quickly becoming, not only a very exciting forward to watch, but also a fans favourite.

Any clarification of our current situation would be greatly appreciated.
