| In light of our poor situation - can anyone see how it will improve? Currently the side isn't good enough. We appointed a coach because our board could'nt be to conduct interviews and after sacking Peter Sharp, decided to appoint Agar because it was the easy option. Despite having the chance to give him to the end of the season. They appointed him anyway without a change of style or results.
Our recruitment has been poor. Fitzgibbon is too old and offers nothing that would change our current position - on an overseas contract. Long again is too old but while a decent signing - if the board have made him our 'big' signing for 2010 then we're doomed. Does Tansey offer more than we currently have? And he won't make us world beaters.
Current price of £21 a game - and this was frozen last year - we can expect a price increase this year - to still be one of the highest admissions in SL.
This from a board who stated we needed 10,000 to compete with the 'big 4'. When the average went to 10,000 they stated we needed 12,000. This year we was averaging around 15,000 to watch a substandard team - which won't last. i see a crowd of around 8,000 for Salford.
If the price increases, resulting into poor season pass sales - where do we go from here???
Is this going to be a Liverpool style baron spell???

| IF they get rid of dumb and dumber, a big IF, i could stomach a £5 extra charge on top of a season pass, as long as they bring in a quality world class coach.
if they decide to stick with d&d, i'd be disgusted if they put prices up for passes and matchday admission for the sh!ite they have given us in return for our hard earned cash!!

| If there are no changes to the coaching staff and they increase the prices i can see a fall in passes sold. People bought passes in faith this season but if we are under the same coaches next season i cannot see people buying on faith again.

I agree that Agar so far has failed as a first grade coach of a superleague club. However, i disagree with the easy option for his appointment. There seems to be pressure on clubs today to develop home grown talent whether it's a player or a coach. To be fair to Richard Agar he has served his time as assistant under Kear and Sharp and i saw no reason not appoint him as a first grade coach. I'm not saying the job was his by rights because he was next in line or anything like that. He was always going to want to test himself and the club to give him every chance at doing so. Unfortunaly it has not worked out so far. Also if everytime a new coach had a difficult spell should be cast aside? Surely if he is a good coach he will ans should be given the opportunity to turn things around? Also i think it would only be fair to point out that Agar has had some bad luck. He inherited a under permforming team from last season and because of contracts has not really had a chance to change things, Injuries have taken their toll, and two of the clubs big singings have failed to come over. All this has resulted in Agar not been able to put his best 17 out on the pitch and that would hinder any team in SL

| Seems to me injuries are going to be the excuse for the next three years, that will make five in total ! Every team suffers injuries during the season, FC have a decent sized squad, I thought we'd benefit from having to play the youngsters last year and have so much strength in depth this season ! Doesn't seem so does it !!! Something drastic needs to happen at the club to enable them to compete again and the sooner the better !!!

I disagree - I see no reason as to why the club would appoint Agar. He was assistant to to failed coaches. His appointment wreaked of cost cutting, short sighted decision making.
