4 games in and 2 wins against 2 of the poorer sides in the comp is nothing to get carried away with. Let us see how we are looking after 10 games. Considering we only have 1 trip out of Hull in the next 2 months we should be winning the majority of them.

I'm not getting carried away at all, just acknowledging that he's addressed some simple (in my opinion) areas which the last 2 coaches failed to. We're still a long way from a team who can compete with the top teams but that's more to do with the quality of the players we have (particularly halfs) than coaching IMO

last season we had a shocking injury situation before we even kicked off the season(Losing Ellis for 2+ months was a huge blow), had no settled half backs & either one or both injured most of the season so hardly surprising our attack faultered (though we scored 50+ three times)
We recovered to win 14 of our last 20 games, 4 games lost in that were 7 points or less.
I'll say I'm still against Radford's appointment but there are some good signs however some bad signs also, defence is leaky as a sieve but if we always score more than we conceed (Brazil stylie) I'll be happy. Discipline is pretty shocking IMO.

\time will tell how things turn out but a shaky win against Cats and one against the Bulls is nothing to brag/start getting excited about

I said it before and I'll say it again. Those of you who doubt, can tell me I was wrong when the seasons over, but I believe Radders is the man to take us forward.

Good start, nothing spectacular results wise, but performance wise it's a vast improvement.
Not sure the Whiting at centre and Heremaia tactic in the halves will cut it against the better teams.

Quote: UllFC "One of the biggest differences is that he's created a lot more competition for places, I've got to admit I wasn't sure about the 'big squad' he has gone for, but its meant that the players know they are only one mediocre display from losing their place. Talanoa for example knows he has to make a big impression because Biggs is coming, the pack are all in danger of losing their place.

yes there are still some things to improve, and we need to cut the daft errors out, but i'd rather be watching a team play free flowing attacking rugby than the drab rubbish we've had for years.'"

Biggs isn't coming didn't you hear AP on radio the other day

Correct. I can see Arundal looking for a release. We were never going to lose to Bradford. Can't understand the defensive approach

I think next week will be a good indication of what Radders has done for our attitude. If we play to our ability, we win, I have no doubts about that. But Cas are a useful team and if we're not on our game then we get beat. This is the kind of game that we have slipped up in far too often in recent seasons.

I was against his appointment and so far I'm impressed but not convinced. Going forward we are playing the best attacking rugby since John Kear and Peter Sharp were in charge. Defensively we are not as good as under Gentle and I'm really worried about all the penalties we are conceding, particularly for holding down. If we can win the next 3 games which are against teams we really should beat, I'll be a lot more convinced.

The next 3 are must win really. None of them are easy, but they are all games that I would be disappointed to lose. If we then back up three wins by beating Huddersfield, then I will start to get a little excited.

Gentle was fooking useless but he had most on here cumming in their pants although he had no proven track record to any extent..... He proved it!
What you'll get from Radders is what you see, it may fail, it may succeed.
Let's hope it's the latter for the majority of us who really do give a fook!

I like his interviews. No whining, and some good analogies for a rookie. Liked him talking about Ellis, Feka and Westy (think it was those three) "kicking the door down" so the backs could make their raids. Sounded giddy about the Cas game, as much as a RL fan as head coach of one of the teams involved.

I'm considering marrying you if Mr B doesn't mind a quickie divorce.
Have you any money for away games and overnight hotels?

You're a very bad zebra, besides I'm pushing 50 and the years haven't been kind. Anyway, Mr B won't be divorcing me because I make brilliant cakes. Like FC fans' Mary Berry, me.

Jog on you numpty, gentle was not useless, and put your crusty sock away that you've obviously got for Radford, he's done fook all yet
