Agree. Tonight is a disappointing result but ateotd without our first or second choice half backs we aren't going to score enough points to win at Saints. Positives are we didn't let the obvious setback of Obst being injured lead to us capitulating in defense.

Let's just hope Obst isn't seriously injured.

Disappointing result but not a poor night by the sounds of it. Sounds like we lost Dowes and Ogre was struggling as well. Obst loss was massive. Onwards and upwards good effort by the lads.

I'd assumed Phelps was injured. Blunderside said he'd stayed down for a while after being tackled on the Saints line - maybe he didn't fully recover?

ATEOTD halves make a huge difference to teams, can't blame Agar for this lose IMO. With regards to Phelps, perhaps he was injured? Humberside mentioned that he was talking to the physio, no point risking him with the game gone.

We can beat Salford at home, but whether or not we do beat them is another matter.

Realistically, we only have the CC anyway. That was true before tonight and it is certainly even more true now.

We aren't good enough to finish high enough in the SL table to trouble the play-offs so let's just hope that Agar can get us to perform to our best in the big CC games. Although his track record in the big "must win" games is shocking !

We go all season with relatively few injuries and then start picking them up just as we start a difficult run-in. Typical.

This is a very accurate description of the game. It was a terrible match. Both teams dropped a lot of ball but we beat you in those stakes. What kept us in the game was our defence - until the last minute of the match, that is (we have only managed to defend well for 80 minutes against Leeds and Wakey this season).

Neither side could do anything with the ball, and ended up trying to make miracle passes, which just resulted in knock ons or turnovers of possession.

Briscoe was just about your only dangerous back. He was very difficult to put down throughout the match and did a lot of work infield acting like an extra forward.

Your pack ran quite hard, but with little to no direction from the halves and the hooker, they didnt really amount to much of a threat to Saints.

A half decent side would have mullered Saints today, but sadly on this showing your a pretty bad side.

dowes strained ligament damage could be very doubtfull, obst slight tear in calf again could be very risky playing him but phelps and fitz looks certain to play next week you would think. obviously longy out would like to hear more from the club or rich regarding gleeson when he could be back but wont go into that. salford have won again tonight on 18 points right behind us will be a very tough game on paper yeh we should win but salford will be right up for this and knowing us we always make hard work of games like this

Salford narrowly beat a poor Quins team tonight. They will indeed be right up for it but if we can't beat them at home we don't deserve to make the play offs.

I expect us to win but don't expect it to be easy. Or enjoyable watching.

I'd agree, sounded like the effort was there but lacked a little composure and organisation at times. That's what comes with no 1st choice halves and no captain.

Usually I think he does ok but tonight he hated us. Think Doc has become a very good commentator though, and I liked him when he played for us.
