I don't believe that Hull would have been stupid enough to name 3/4 injury doubts in the squad, and you aren't going to find a better time to play Wire than with Hodgson, Briers and J Monaghan out.

Reckon the pitch will be fine, but without looking at the surrounding areas it's hard to tell. If it just snows and the temparature doesn't fall too much, reckon a hundred hardy souls could clear the surrounds tomorrow morning. If it freezes underneath the snow, it could be iffy.

The steps into the stadium might also be frozen and that could jeopardise it.
My rfl colleagues will no doubt be down early to inspect.

Forecast for tomorrow is warmer and no more snow so that will give the game every chance.

The snow's expected to stop around midnight and there's no more forecasted so if they can clear the surrounding areas especially the bridge /steps on the south east corner then it may be ok.

Sportsmanship- the fact you want a game to be cancelled because you don't think your side is strong enough. Latter part was a reference to the snow, let's all rally together and make sure the game goes ahead!

Any word of what time a pitch inspection will be?

I'd imagine that when staff arrive early in the morning, it will be apparent quickly enough whether the outside areas are salvageable in time for the match.

Still protocol i'd think in case something just happened to go wrong with covers etc, and to cover backs.. There'll be a match official in the area who will have a look if need be.

Will more likely just be a conversation with groundsman and Referee or MC via phone.

Ive just got back home from my bro inlaws and its stopped snowing now and it doesnt even feel that cold and no sign of any ice yet, so i reckon get the snow cleared of the paths in morning and we'll be good to go.

Just drove past the KC, roads are clear but the paths and surrounding areas had a couple of inches high of snow layered on them. Temp was -1, not an expert on this stuff but I reckon if the pitch is not frozen the game should go ahead.

Walton Street Market cancelled due to slippery conditions underfoot. Wasn't really bad on there though & it's a big open space so I reckon the game should go ahead today.

Main roads are fine Jake, few of the back streets were icy though when I was out at about 7.

Bad out my way, might struggle to get through.
