The Aussies put him under real pressure in that game, something we didnt really do to them. Kick chase is a big part of the game these days.

Peacock played 2nd grade in Oz for two years i believe and also turned down moves to Brisbane and Paramatta for bigger deals here in UK I seem to remember and same for Fielden whilst at Bradford so not sure what your point is there mate?? however i will say i doubt any of those three have ever bottled it at anything !!!

Yeah i agree. They could have (and did) earn a lot more money playing here so that was there reason to stay

So they had their heads turned by more money instead of having a better lifestyle and playing in the best league in the world. Money isn't everything but to them it must of been. You'd of thought that most players would want to test theirselves in the nrl for a few years.

RL players have a limited career and don't earn the rudiculous sums footballers do. Of course they'll try to do what's best for them financially so that they're in as strong a position as possible when they retire.

I agree with what your'e saying but surely the amount of what he would of earnt wouldn't of been that much.

in his early years, think he went abit off the rails whilst at the bulls so they shipped him to fev on loan and on a scholarship to oz.....think the loan deal at fev made him change his ways

I don't really know what you're trying to say here. Do you mean the difference between what he would have earned here and what he would have earned in the NRL wouldn't have been that great? If so, I don't agree. There might have been £20-30k difference, which is quite a lot.

RL players earn a lot of money in general terms, a lifetimes wages of the average fan in a 10 year career, and yet some still shell out for their testemonial games as well.

i wouldn,t be surprised if it was FC holding some open training sessions for supporters to go and watch.
