Lynch adds a greater ability as a natural prop over Fitzgibbon who played a props game last season.

its hard to argue with any of that , but ill try lol, what worries me is the 2 signings that the new set up have signed well 3 now with burnett everyone as complained about on the whole ,Agar signed the rest including Lynch that deal was done well before rich left they just saw it through

lets hope whoever they have signed for january is a bit more inspiring because the three they have signed and theres only burnett i can see any logic to really have been below avarage additions simple ,we would have been better keeping the cap space and waiting for a real quality player to come available or give some of the kids a chance

toatally agree mike burnett i would of signed up for another year been a hull lad been brought through our academy, ability to play down the middle and on the edge he gives up some depth and options and would comes very cheap aswell but surely it would of been better to keep aspinwall and martin cap space available to try and get a good english player that will be here for years to come bit like the westy signing someone like larne patrick liam watts that type of player

Why would Briscoe want to go to the Sharks?

I'm not saying he would, I'm not saying Cronulla have even got the cap space/money to sign him, I'm not saying theyve have offered him a deal or even approached Hull.

But Gallen rates him, he doesn't think the Cronulla backs help out the forwards enough and believes Briscoes freak power would be a real asset.

Excellent recognition for Tom from a great player. I imagine Gsllen has a lot of influence within the club so will be interesting to see if this materialises beyond here.

I'm sure Tom will be with us for the next few seasons at least, but the lure of Sydney, the weather and playing in the NRL with it's expanding salary cap will surely turn Tom's head, or any player with ambition.

If they was looking for a player it should be Ryan hall. Briscoe wasn't great in the four nations so how would he get recognition over Hall?

Tommy is great in Super League, but almost exclusively only from dummy half. I think his inability under the high ball and lack of genuine pace would see him exposed in the NRL.

Their some very average wingers probably earning (a lot) more than Briscoe does.

I wouldn't say he lacks pace. He's not the fastest but is by no means slow. It's his strength and agility that make him the winger he is today. Defenders have trouble putting Briscoe to the ground which gets a quick PTB and saps the other teams energy.

1 off a few English players that could make the cut in NRL imo.
