He looks a totally different player especially in defence ( I used to close my eyes when it was kicked towards his corner and hope, I think he did same!!). He was really enjoying the applause the fans in the corner were giving him, had a big grin on his face. Well done Will, keep it up.

Tbf sharp used to get left on his own in defence and expected to cover 3 or 4 men, but with a proper centre and some confidence hes a much better player this year

the thing that stands out to me is the hard work he does from defence, he takes the ball up at least once in every six surely , he always seems to be there putting his hand up for it.....
looking the real deal and very very reliable indeed...............

To be fair to Sharpy he'd just taken a run out of defence and was gathering himself when Martin made the break.

didn't go, but even blunderside were struggling to pick on sharp, I like how he's taking everything teams throw at him which last season would have seen us concede many a try (not necessarily Sharp's fault I know). Maybe teams will wise up and kick to our left a few times we'll see the Briscoe we've been missing thus far in 2012.

TBH I thought Briscoe played well today when he got the opportunity. He had one disallowed which seemed pretty close, scored one, put one on a plate for Horney (which he bombed) and played a part in Manu's second.

that's what I was going at, when he gets the opportunity, he can score from nothing from well within his own half

As I said last week, Sharp is the complete opposite to himself last year.
Obviously he's a confidence player who wears his heart on his sleeve, outplayed Briscoe every game so far this season.
If he can get more chances to score then he will be the real deal for us.

Briscoe did better yesterday, and I am a big fan his - but he looks disinterested this season.
For Griffins try you could see from the start of the set what they would do and Briscoe didnt communicate early enough to pull the defence out plus one on his side.

Great start to the season from Sharp, he's full of confidence, different player from last year and I can't see why anyone would want rid of him, new 2-3 year deal for me.

how many high balls did he take under pressure last night. he was fantastic. its even gotten to the point that i dont even have my heart in my mouth ive that much confidence in him at the moment. hope it continues.

he was no doubt pinching him self when everyone was singing 'there's only one Will Sharp' after the torrid time he had last year, but he well deserves all the plaudits.

Even last season I thought he had the support of the fans as you could see how hard he was trying. Last season IMO Agar tried to do the exact same thing with Sharp that he did with Thorman by publicly throwing him under the bus to cover his own incompitant ass.

been to every game so far and i dont think hes had a bad one yet,good luck to him, and i for one hope he carries his good form on and earns himself a new deal.

Sharp definitely the most improved player, and it shows what difference a good coach can make to a player. However, i feel the most important positive about Sharp's play is that the moaning old bugger sat behind me now has less to moan about. In fact, things must be good as she was arguing with our own fans on Friday

Will Sharp was fecking pants last season and his improvement this season (which has been outstanding) is down to the coaching staff and mostly him. Well done Will Sharp!!!

If Gentle wants to encourage an expansive style of Rugby , Then this will give Sharp more ball and hopefully see him run in a few from a distance . Much improved , More confident and things are looking up for him.

You could see the influence that Gleeson had over Sharp when he was here. Esp in positioning and he was always talking to him, keeping him in the loop so to speak. Even Lynn played better on the Wing with Berrigan as his centre. Martin is a fantastic signing. We've improved 2 positions by signing him.
