At least the catering would improve!
And if he could part the Red sea several times for Calders to finish off i'd be well happy

Thats why you got the Bullet Agar...Adam Pearson wants winners...not useless gits like you.

Spot on. Long was not at his best on Saturday but he still had a huge influence on the game. He'll do for me.

Says it all really Paul. A player doesn't have the best of games but still influences things..... Do for me as well.

| Sure Long is past his best but he's still great at what he does and what he does he does well in my opinion. This guy is gonna change the way our team have been playing recently. I.E the last two seasons. Long will bring experience and organisation into the squad. He has a very good rugby brain and wether he's on the pitch playing or out injured he will still have a massive input into set plays and tactics. I also think that with Horney playing alongside Longy it will refresh Horney's game. Looking forward to 2010.

I agree with that as well. I reckon it'll free Horney up a bit. With all he's had on his plate healthwise and having a clown (Thorman) or someone else filling in beside him hasn't helped him at all.

Horney is a great player. He has showed the Faithful in the past. He's been off his game since Cooke left TBF. The illness and injuries didn't help either. If Long and Horne gel on and off the field then I can only see the Rich Horne of old but a more creative and improved all round player standing out.

| Long will be a huge miss for Saints, and a great bit of business for hull. On the question of his fitness, he has missed games this season, but only for a broken eye socket, he isn't injury prone like a Sculthorpe for instance. He did have dodgy knees early in his career, but has been ok for 6 or 7 season now? I think he is capable of playing most of your games next year, and if you get to a big game, he is capable of winning it for you. Not too sure about his coaching credentials though!!

| We need a scrum half desperately so the club goes and gets the best that is available, granted he is the wrong side of 30 but great players dont lose it just because they reach 30. Look at Jason Smith, finished when he left us but still managed another 2 or 3 years in the hardest league there is, pace had left him long ago but that rugby brain still ran quicker than guys 10 years younger enabling him to create problems for the opposition and still be a valuable player for his coach to rely on.
