He hasn't played a game at 7!

Neither had Burrow, Tomkins, Lomax etc until their debut. Our problem is that we build them up and when they don't play like Lockyer from minute one, we knock them down. Either that or we just don't play them at all.

As for Jamie Ellis, he is a good halfback. He played two games for Saints first team during Potter's tenure but Potter didn't really like sticking with the young guns and giving them time to blend so he was a permanent fixture in the u20s thereafter, which presumably is why he left for Leigh. There is no reason he couldn't step up to first grade. Did you see our match with Leeds on Friday night? Our stand off, Lee Gaskell, is only 20 and also only had two games at first grade last season. I think he's doing quite well. No reason to believe Jamie Ellis couldn't make the step up so long as he was provided with the necessary support from coach and team mates.'"
That's the thing for me, we have to play him otherwise we won't know. Playing U20's will do nothing for him. He needs a good offseason though imo and then some gametime.

That happened with Brough. fans on here called for him to play for ages and when he did he started getting criticised after a few games with peopel saying he wasn't good enough. Same with Sharp this season.

Difference is that they where eased in, I love him to be given a few games next year.
But to go with him or Ellis as our starting 7 would be very foolish and naive.

We haven't seen a organising 6 for a long time, no disrespect to Horne, so we think they can play 7.
Don't get me wrong he might be able to but aup to now he's not played there.

Bit of a disrespectful way to start the thread.
A great shame to see what could well be the end of a great career. Even if he does make a recovery this should clearly be his season.

Nope but two wrongs and all that. RL is a tough game and that's why we love it. Cheering an injured player is unforgivable.
Your report was not upheld btw.
