Wouldn't like to see him in the halves judging by that game last week v Widnes but what you are getting is a very experienced utility player who has performed well in a poor Castleford team for many years who still has a point to prove,
They can't all be marquees and I'm sure he will suprise many of his already mass doubters before the end of the year.

I am struggling to see the logic of you bringing in one of the 'nicest' guys in SL a player who is nothing but awful.
TBH the last time I saw this kind of reaction from you guys was when it looked like you were bringing Ryan Bailey in (Again to be expected).
If Sandercock was bringing in captain tattoo I would be questioning his reasoning and his sanity (I really am struggling as I guess you all are).

Well we have 4 back rowers playing in the 17.

If Tickle leaves I'd expect him to be replaced.

But is a utility player and as Stan says, is unlikely to hold a position there next year

To be replaced by a young player with massive potential from Bradford.

Thought I might be more philosophical about this in the morning. Turns out I still think its the worst signing on our history. Yes we are obviously signing better players and they can't all be top quality but that doesn't mean we should sign complete garbage, I'd rather give a young kid the game time.

Goldy will give 110% but as a back rower??? Not the best tackler and not a power runner. If he's asked to tackle that much there will be plenty of penalties. In the half back role he'll throw an interception a game. Best position I'd say was FB. Could have been a good centre but never really got game time there.

How can people question Gentle's judgement? Not 1 of his signings have let us down so far. Even though McGoldrick isn't a brilliant player & a bit of a tit I'm pretty sure Gentle knows more about the game & the payers then any of us on here so if he's happy to sign him thats fine as far as I'm concerned. I certainly won't be losing any sleep of the signing or getting angry or anything like that.
